Frequently Asked Questions:
• Who is the hero of book 4, BODY OF SIN?
Think of the very last scene in Mal’s book, SINS OF THE FLESH. That’ll tell you the identity of the hero of BODY OF SIN.

• Why were the Otherkin/Sins books described as a trilogy when there are more than three?
The first three books are a trilogy in the sense that they complete a story arc. By the time the third book is done, the killer’s identity is revealed. But the revelation of that identity leaves new questions unanswered., and they’ll be addressed in future books.

• Do I need to read your books in a specific order?
The Otherkin trilogy is best read in order: SINS OF THE HEART then SINS OF THE SOUL then SINS OF THE FLESH. The e-read prequel, SIN’S DAUGHTER can be read at any point.
My historical romantic suspense books are not connected at all and they can be read in any order.
The Compact of Sorcerers books can be read out of order, but to avoid spoilers, start with DEMON’S KISS, then DEMON’S HUNGER. The order of my Eve Kenin books set in the Northern Waste is: DRIVEN followed by HIDDEN.

• What is a kick-butt heroine, and do your books have them?
A kick-butt heroine is one who can handle absolutely anything that is shoved at her. Not that it’s easy for her, but she’ll find a way to handle it. Her physical strength is only part of the package, though. In addition to her ability to take care of herself, she has incredible mental acuity and strength of character, traits which allow her to face the most difficult challenges. She has failings, too, human weaknesses and hidden frailties that make her all the more appealing. Many of my heroines, including Roxy Tam from SINS OF THE HEART, Naphré Kurata from SINS OF THE SOUL, and Calliope Kane from SINS OF THE FLESH, fall under this umbrella.

• I can’t find you on Facebook. Why aren’t you there?
Short answer: I’m Facebook phobic.
Slightly longer answer: I guard my precious writing time and avoid anything that could distract me from getting my stories on the page.
Edited to add: I am now on Facebook. The persuasive and talented Michelle Rowen created a page for me. She mirrored my blog and twitter feeds there.

• But you’re on Twitter. You’re not Twitter phobic?
Twitter was easy to learn and it doesn’t take away from my precious writing time because I can type 140 characters very quickly (well…relatively quickly. More on that in a second…)

• How quickly do you type?
Actually, I never learned to type. When I was in ninth grade, I chose Latin instead of typing as my elective. So I hunt and peck with two fingers. And that’s how I write my books. I’ve often been asked why I don’t sign up for a typing course now. It’s because I think that if I learn to type I’ll lose my ability to write. Makes no sense, I know, but there you have it.
