Books, books and more free books

**Contest now closed!**

I’m giving away up to 50 FREE books!

Last week, I boxed up a ton of my books and mailed them to libraries who welcome non-English language translations. I sent out copies in Japanese, Spanish, German, Thai, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, Portuguese and French.

But even after sending out all those boxes, I still have author copies of a ton of my English backlist books on my shelves. Copies and copies of my backlist. So I want to give them to you. Yes, give. For FREE. And it’s up to you how many copies I give away. Here’s how it works:

1. Leave a comment telling me the title of any of my backlist that you want me to send you along with the link(s) described in point 2 below.

2. Review any one of my books online and leave a link to that review in the comments. Every link you leave counts as an entry (the link to any single review may only be posted once). So for example, if you review one of my books and post that review on Goodreads, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, leave a link to each post in the comments and that would count as three entries. If you review three of my books and leave all three reviews on Goodreads, that also counts as three entries. See what I mean? Reviews must be posted during contest dates December 19, 2012 through January 2, 2013.

**I reviewed your book last year. Does that count? No, but with a simple tweak you can make it count. The review must be posted within the contest dates. So for example, if you reviewed one of my books on Barnes & Noble last year, that review won’t count. But if you take that review and repost it at Shelfari and on your blog, those two *new* posts of the same review do count.

3. So how many books are included in the giveaway? You decide! If fifty review links get posted below, I’ll give away five books. If 100 links get posted below, I’ll give away 15 books. If 150 links get posted below, I’ll give away 25 books. From there, I’ll add 5 more free books for every 50 links up to a maximum of 50 books. So the more review links get posted, the greater your chances of winning!

How can you influence how many review links are posted? Tweet about the contest. Mention it on Facebook, Tumblr, your blog, your email loops. Let people know. Please! I really want your help clearing all these author copies off my shelves.

4. Which books are included in the giveaway? All of them. Every single book in my backlist is up for grabs. Physical copies only. eBooks are not included in the giveaway (because the whole point is to move my backlist titles off my shelves and into your hands).

Got questions? Here are some answers:

Does it matter which book you review? No. You choose. So long as you post a review.

Does it matter how long the review is? No. Write any length review. It can be one sentence or a hundred. Your choice.

Does it matter if the review is a five star? No. Write an honest review and leave the link as described.

Good luck! Contest runs December 19, 2012 to January 2, 2013. Void where prohibited by law. Winners will be randomly chosen and posted on the blog January 3, 2013 (as well as notified by email if email address is provided).

OMG! *Eyes the books* Driven and Hidden? Or better yet, Yuriko’s story? Sorry, couldn’t resist. If I have to pick one, it would be Hidden. Reviews are here, here, and here.

Monique, they need to be new postings. See point 2 above.

I’d love to read ‘Dark Desires’ but haven’t gotten to it yet. Happy to post several reviews of my two favs: “Driven” & “Hidden”. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2923570-hidden and http://www.amazon.com/Hidden-Northern-Waste-ebook/product-reviews/B0094MCF9E/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending and http://www.amazon.com/Driven-SHOMI-Eve-Kenin/product-reviews/050552709X/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending. Also posted reviews for both of these on Alibris, but their not showing up yet. I love futuristic romance, and am editing one I wrote myself, so nothing gets my motor running like that particular sub-genre, though I’ll read anything if it’s good!

Sadly, I have not read any of your books, but I teach high school seniors, and am always interested in free books for my classroom library. I know I don’t qualify, but if you have any books you would like to donate, I’d be glad to have them. (I also know that Dr. Joan Kaywell from the University of South Florida teaches pre-service teachers who would like to start building their classroom libraries as well. If you are interested, email me, and I will be glad to give you her email address as well).

The contest is now closed. Sadly, I didn’t even hit the 50 review links needed to give away five books :-( **BUT** I’m going to give away a book anyway! The first person from those who entered above who emails me eve at eve silver dot net with their name, mailing address and the title of the book they want will get a signed copy. Hope to hear from you soon! (Offer valid for one week).
